Are Computer Programmers Responsible for Solving The Biggest Humanitarian Problems That Exist in The World?
Problem Solver.
That is the adjective used in many articles and multimedia applications to describe a person that knows code.
I stumbled upon coding innocently enough. And as I am becoming familiar with the connection computer programmers have to the world and how it operates, I've been contemplating how am I going to help solve world problems. And is it my responsibility to use my skills to do such?
I Googled the biggest problems the world is facing some of them are: food insecurity, climate change and poverty. This is just the shortlist!
It's inescapable that some type of electronic device and code is going to rescue humanity from these catastrophes. I barely know HTML and CSS, but the bigger picture is presenting itself as I dive into this world of development. I want to do my part and this thought process could effectively redirect my web development career path.
I am in this shit now and I enjoy my work thus far. I am just holding onto my seatbelt, this is going to be a hell of a ride.
With these words, I bid you...
Good night
