Math Problems are Like Life Problems, Just Find the Formula and Work Out The Solution
I've been working on this math problem for two days now. It's asking me to figure out the area of a triangle in terms of its base. I am stumped.
I solved this problem before, but this time I am working with variables and square roots instead of whole numbers or solving for a single variable x.
I have some choices:
- option 1: Keep staring at the problem till I figure it out
- option 2: Research the problem till I find a solution
- option 3: skip the question and continue forward, never looking back
- option 4: skip the question and come back later
- option 5: give up and never do math again
option 2 seems the most appealing, I think I'll go with that. I am sure there are other options I could list, but let's keep it limited to what I can muster at 11:52 pm, knowing I have to wake up at 3 am.
Anyway, the takeaway from this is a real-life analogy. I've had a problem I've been trying to solve for at least 10 years.
Just like I know there's an answer to this math problem, there's an answer to this real-life problem.
I know there is someone who has the answer to my math problem. They could probably solve it in their sleep. There's also a person that can solve this real-life problem, I struggle with, with ease and clarity.
The cool thing about it...that person is me.
I just have to have patience, do my research, and not give up. Finally, the solution will present itself and I can move on to the next level.
With these words...I bid you,
Good night
