I am looking forward to the weekend! It's so gratifying because I have dedicated time for just studying and learning.

As an adult self-paced learner I have the luxury of spending as much time as I feel necessary, on any given topic. Any topic that I find interesting or much more important, any topic I want to understand.

I actually find learning enjoyable because I am not under deadlines and time constraints. Grades 1 - 12 are memorization. College/University level learning is much of the same. It seems that possible Ph.D. or Master's level learning is where any deep learning occurs.

This is when a student has the opportunity to write a thesis or dissertation. But the part that sucks is most of us, at the age of about 22, don't know who the hell we are or what we really want to do with our lives. Of course, there are the lucky few, who know at age 5 they want to be dancers or doctors, but most of us don't have a clue.

Unless we take the time to slow down and figure life out, you'll miss the true beauty of learning and existence itself.
